Hi, I’m Megan

Welcome to the Twigg website!

I’m a florist based in Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands. I’m never happier than when I am outside, whether that is walking in beautiful Sutton park with my ex-racing greyhound Suki, or busy sowing and planting the next crop of flowers for my floral creations. For me there is something innately grounding for me about a connection with nature.

Although I trained as a florist 15 years ago, it wasn't until 2019 that I decided to take the plunge and set up Twigg. Finding out about Flowers From The Farm and realising I wasn’t alone in my aim to do floristry a bit differently, focusing on sustainability and a connection to nature, really opened my eyes, and gave me the push I needed.

I love creating relaxed and natural designs using materials I’ve grown or foraged myself. Having spent most of my professional career in Product Management, this creative outlet is incredibly important.

About Twigg Floral Design

Everything I create uses British-grown and seasonal flowers and foliage - while this means I can’t provide roses on Valentine’s day, It also means that the Valentine arrangement you order from me will be truly unique, reflecting nature and the seasons in a way that a hot-housed rose could never do.

Using only British seasonal flowers and foliage means that each design is unique, reflecting the abundance of each season.

I grow the majority of the flowers that I use on my own plot. For weddings and larger events I will often grow specific flowers, but I also work with other local British growers to supplement where I need to. Being a member of Flowers from the Farm has really helped to establish a local growing network and has put me in touch with many like-minded and inspirational growers and florists as a result.

Seasonal British Flowers to Nourish the Soul

At Twigg (named in honour of my grandmother’s maiden name) my ethos is to minimise my impact on the planet while enjoying everything nature has to offer. I don’t use artificial fertilisers or pesticides on my crops. I also ensure that all of my packaging is 100% compostable. I am completely foam free in all of my work.

But most of all, Twigg is about a celebration of nature, recognising the importance of the seasons and taking joy in all that nature offers. So if you're looking for wild, natural designs I would love to hear from you.
